Abstract: The existing building stock plays a central role in sustainable development due to high resource consumption. Facility managers, whose primary responsibility is in the building phase of climate change mitigation, by implementing sustainable facility management. The authors‘ goal is to explore some theoretical issues of sustainable facility management and to provide guidance on this its application in practice in order to support the theory and management practice of social, economic and environmental sustainable development.
