Abstract: The digital transformation is changing the modern economy fundamentally. Although at a slower pace, the use of sophisticated software applications based on new IT technologies is also entering the construction industry. The transformation process, in turn, increases the scope and volume of the data which is collected and stored. Regarding that this report takes a look at the changes that have taken place as a result of digitalisation in construction industry and the need to implement new models for data storage and management. The study is part of Project BG05M2OP001-1.002-0002-C02 „Digitalization of Economy in a Big Data Environment“.
