THE ACADEMIC SELF-EFFICACY AS A PART OF THE MOTIVATION TO LEARN

Abstract: This paper reports that academic self-efficacy plays an important motivational role in the learning process of students. The main objective is to study the theoretical aspects of "academic self-efficacy" by analyzing the development of its motivational determinants and effects. For this purpose is presented, (1) a brief review of the conceptual foundations of the relevant motivation theories, (2) substantiated essence development of self-efficacy and academic self-efficacy, and (3) a suitable tool for measuring the level of academic self-efficacy. The result of the theoretical-methodical overview systematizes foreign literature related to the impact of academic self-efficacy in the field of motivation to learn and the possibility to be measure.
