Abstract:
Job satisfaction is a topic that excites not only employees but also their employers. Companies like Google invest in their human resources, not only in their professional development, but also in their well-being and happiness. Employee workplace satisfaction proves to be key to increasing their productivity and quality of task performance. Researchers have found that happy employees feel significantly more committed to their work responsibilities than those who do not approve their workplaces. In this regard, the purpose of this paper is to study the job satisfaction of employees in the IT sector. To achieve it, a social media mining approach is applied. 7602 tweets were retrieved in the period 2 - 4 September 2021. Sentiment analysis and emotion mining techniques were used to classify the satisfaction in the Twitter posts.
