Abstract: The current labor market consists of representatives of several generations who have various expectations of their employers. This is causing employers to become increasingly inventive in the methods used to attract and hire employees. One such way is the use of game- based software applications in the recruitment and selection process. In 2022, several Bulgarian organizations are participating in a student initiative in which teams of two students from University of National and World Economy search for and assess the soft skills of candidates for work in the participating organizations using game-based software developed by a Bulgarian startup organization. This report presents the results of this initiative and draws conclusions about the possibility of using gamification in the selection process.
