Abstract:
In the article there is discussed the development of accounting from its beginnings till present day and the separation of its individual areas. There is outlined the evolution of accounting registers and forms, the various theories and ideas of the leading national schools, the methods of calculating the cost price of production and services and the setting up of accounting as an important information and control system.
