Abstract: The article analyzes and summarizes the statistical data for the period 2000 - 2010, the aim being to bring out the more typical features and peculiarities of national unemployment, with a view to their comparison with the currently existing legislative decisions. There are pointed out and analyzed the basic rights of the unemployed individual, set in The Law f or the Promotion of Employment in terms of their adequacy and indispensability.
