Abstract:
In the article there is applied the information theory of financial stability in order to elucidate the role of monetary policy for the origin of the financial crisis of 2007-2009 in the USA. There are traced the factors for the disturbance in the financial stability and is analysed their connection with the policy of the Federal Reserve. At the end of the study there are formulated specific conclusions concerning the pur suance of monetary policy under conditions of information asymmetry in view of maintaining the financial stability.
