Abstract: Increased globalization worldwide affects each branch of industry. It is particularly evident with international hotel chains and the process of internationalization through which those pass. The article identifies and subjects to critical analysis the internal and external factors, which affect them in the process. Those include on the one hand the internal preparedness of the hotel chain for expansion, and on the other - the characteristics of the state, where it is to make an entry.
