Organizational competitiveness through strategic knowledge management

Abstract:
With the advent of high technology, changes in the contemporary business environment are so fast that the employed need an unceasing acquisition of new knowledge and skills. Strategic thought regards knowledge as a major resource and managers realize that in order for them to be competitive on the contemporary market it is necessary that they manage their intellectual resources. The strategic management of the knowledge, abilities and ideas of the employed provides organizations with competitive advantage on the market. The aim of the author in the present article is the development of a model for strategic knowledge management in order to achieve competitiveness and stability of organizations.
