Abstract: The attention of the author in the present work is directed at the possibilities for optimizing some of the main activities in supply chains, namely activities connected with the transportation of material flows between the participants in the chain. There is made an attempt at putting forward an economic and mathematical model of a transport type, through which there is ensured the delivery of all cargo from the points of departure to reception points in the supply chain in the shortest possible time, and the cost of transportation is within certain preset limits.
