 Public Private Partnership (PPP) for Housing Delivery to the Low Income Civil Servants in Abuja, NigeriaSuleiman Bolaji ()
Business & Management Compass, 2017, issue 2, 144-157 Abstract: The aim of the paper is to relate the cost of two-bedroom houses to the income of low income civil servants and examine the possibility of acquiring PPP houses through the National Housing Fund (NHF) contributions in Nigeria. Structured questionnaires were sent to selected housing developers and the low income civil servants from the Federal Housing Authority (FHA) and mass housing department of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) Abuja and the data collected were analyzed using frequency analysis. Part of the finding is that institutional arrangement put in place is not strong enough. Therefore, the paper concluded among others that, with PPP arrangement that off-set the cost of land and basic infrastructures, N3m is adequate for a two-bedroom house in Abuja and elsewhere in the country. The study therefore, suggested full implementation of a strong market oriented PPP housing delivery.
