Abstract: Since 2014, the European Commission has been monitoring Member States' progress in the digital field through the Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI) reports. Each year, the DESI includes country profiles that assist Member States in identifying areas requiring priority action. The report focuses on Bulgaria and its progress, which is included in DESI's monitoring. The aim is to track Bulgaria's development in the DESI core indicators, in the context of the development of digitisation at the European Union level. The components of DESI – human capital, connectivity, digital technology adoption, digital public services - are the object of study.
