Abstract: Abstract: This paper explores procurement management practices in the retail chains that specialize in buying, selling, or exchanging goods or services in the market of furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance in Bulgaria. As multinational retail giants continue to expand their operations in the country, effective procurement strategies are becoming a key factor in maintaining a competitive advantage, ensuring correct stock availability and cost optimization. The study purpose is to analyze the procurement processes at leading retailers in the industry and to emphasize the role of ERP systems as a main technology for optimizing ordering activities and integrating sustainable sourcing practices. The findings show that successful procurement management in this sector depends on a strategic approach, which includes long-term partnership with key suppliers, optimizing inventory management and implementing modern digital tools.
