Abstract: The article aims to analyze the current literature (conceptual and research articles) in the field of relations between the symbolic activities of the organization and the ability to acquire resources and their efficient exploitation, and an attempt to build a conceptual model on this basis. This goal was achieved by applying a systematic literature review. The analysis was based on literature, both conceptual and research. Types of resources purchased by stakeholders were indicated. The study presents a conceptual model describing the role of symbolic activities in the process of resource acquisition and management. The concept of symbolic obligations was presented as a consequence of actions taken by organizations.
