Abstract: The article deals with current issues of innovation and labour productivity in knowledge-intensive services in Slovakia compared to less knowledge-intensive services. The aim of the article is to identify innovation activity of enterprises in selected branches of service sector as one of the key factors affecting labour productivity which influences competitiveness of individual enterprises as well as competitiveness of the national economy as a whole.
