Abstract: The study presents a demographic potential-based typology of Polish counties created using the spatial measures of development (available in the literature and proposed by the author). The typology reveals the location of Polish areas (regions) with the highest and lowest demographic potential. The analysis was performed on data sourced from the publications of the Central Statistical Office (GUS) on the age structure and selected developments in the natural movement and migrations in counties in the years 2005 and 2016.
