Abstract:
In an international comparison, German evaluations and evidence-based orientation in the political process still have considerable room for improvement. International experience confirms the advantages of systematic evidence-based policymaking. Particularly during economically and politically difficult times, it is effective and efficient reactions are required. Catching up with internationally proven standards of administrative action through the systematic use of evaluations is therefore more urgent than ever. There is a lot to gain.
