Abstract: This study aims to find out which of the women indicators of education, employment, health and political factors, measured in many sub-indicators, are significantly effective in explaining economic growth. The study analyses crossnational data of 187 countries where data is available in between 1998-2008 (inclusive) with fixed effects panel data approach separately for high income countries and low, lower-upper middle income countries. The results obtained have revealed that different measurements, such as less fertility, more employment of women, and more participation of women in the parliament, have important effects on the economic growth of a country.
