Abstract: The parameter L8 and K of the von Bertalanffy growth equation were estimated from length-frequency data of teh spangled emperor Lethrinus nebulosus (Fam. Lethrinidae) caught in the Central and Western Divisions, Fiji. These parameters are compared with values from Papua New Guinea and New Caledonia and also used to derive estimates of total, natural and fishing mortality.
