WIFO Monatsberichte (monthly reports), 1989, vol. 62, issue 6, 394-398

Abstract: Die Sozialausgaben stiegen 1988 um rund 4%, ihr Anteil am BIP ist erstmals seit vier Jahren gesunken. Das raschere Wachstum der Beschäftigung entlastete die Arbeitslosenversicherung, in der Pensionsversicherung dämpften Konsolidierungsmaßnahmen die Ausgaben. Mit 600 Pensionisten je 1.000 Versicherte erreichte die Belastungsquote einen neuen Höchstwert. Die Pensionisten erlitten 1988 leichte Realeinkommensverluste, profitieren aber heuer von der Steuerreform.
