Abstract: Die Forstwirtschaft würde von einer Integration Österreichs in den europäischen Binnenmarkt profitieren, weil damit die Exportrestriktionen für Rohholz fielen. Außerdem könnten ausländische Unternehmen leichter Niederlassungen in Österreich errichten, der Wettbewerb um das inländische Rundholz würde damit zusätzlich verstärkt. Wichtig wäre ein Mitspracherecht Österreichs bei der Festlegung der EG-Normen für Holz und für Emittenten von Luftschadstoffen.
