Abstract: Mit einem Wachstum des realen BIP von 3,8% erreichte einer der längsten Konjunkturzyklen der Nachkriegszeit 1989 seinen Höhepunkt. Die lebhafte Inlandsnachfrage wurde noch übertroffen von einem hohen Exportwachstum. Der Inflationsauftrieb blieb mäßig.
