Abstract: Mit beträchtlicher Verzögerung folgt Österreichs Wirtschaft dem internationalen Konjunkturabschwung. Der Nachfrageimpuls aus der deutschen Wiedervereinigung verebbt; nunmehr greifen vom wichtigsten Auslandsmarkt restriktive Einflüsse über, die 1992 noch deutlicher spürbar werden. Dennoch sinkt das Wirtschaftswachstum nur wenig unter den mittelfristigen Trend. Es wird durch den vorerst kaum geschmälerten Zuwachs von Einkommen und Beschäftigung im Inland gestützt, in weiterer Folge durch wieder bessere Exportchancen.
