Abstract: Die Konjunkturschwäche im Ausland hält an und greift über den Export immer deutlicher auf Österreich über; vor allem die Industrie ist davon betroffen. In den meisten anderen Wirtschaftsbereichen ist das Wachstum noch rege, das Konsum– und Investitionsklima kaum getrübt. Das ausgeprägte Konjunkturgefälle gegenüber dem Ausland läßt allerdings den Leistungsbilanzüberschuß schwinden.
