Italien und Österreich – Ein Wirtschaftsvergleich

Abstract: Aufgrund ihrer unterschiedlichen Integrationspolitik (EG- bzw. EFTA-Mitgliedschaft) weichen Italiens und Österreichs internationale Rahmenbedingungen voneinander ab. Auch die innerstaatliche Ausgangsposition (stärkere regionale Disparitäten in Italien) und gegensätzliche Ansätze wirtschaftspolitischen Managements (Konflikt bzw. sozialpartnerschaftlicher Konsens) sind Ursache divergierender Wirtschaftserfolge. Italiens Wirtschaft wächst in der Regel rascher als jene Österreichs, allerdings sind dort auch Inflation, Arbeitslosigkeit und Staatsverschuldung viel höher.
