Abstract: Von der öffentlichen Stromversorgung unabhängige Solarmobile entschärfen die ökologischen Probleme des motorisierten Individualverkehrs wesentlich. Mit einer Batterieaufladung am öffentlichen Netz sinken die ökologischen Vorteile entsprechend der allgemeinen Stromversorgungssituation. Aufgrund der hohen Kosten für Batterien und die Stromerzeugung durch photovoltaische Anlagen ist die ökonomische Effizienz der Förderung von Solarmobilen vermutlich geringer als etwa jene des öffentlichen Verkehrs.
