Abstract: Der jüngste Zustrom ausländischer Arbeitskräfte war ähnlich rasch und massiv wie in den frühen siebziger Jahren. Die sprunghafte Ausweitung des Arbeitsangebotes, vor allem mittlerer und niedriger Qualifikationen des Produktions- und Dienstleistungssektors, spiegelt sich in der Verlangsamung der gesamtwirtschaftlichen Produktivitätssteigerung und war mit eine Ursache für den Anstieg der Arbeitslosigkeit.
