Abstract: Die "Europaverträge" der EG mit Ost-Mitteleuropa sind ein wichtiger Schritt zur Einbeziehung dieser Region in den europäischen Freihandel. Sowohl der Zeitvorsprung der EG gegenüber der EFTA als auch verschiedene "technische" Probleme (vor allem im Bereich der Ursprungsregelung) könnten die Marktstellung Österreichs in Ost-Mitteleuropa beeinträchtigen.
