Abstract: 1993 setzten die Preise der Industrierohstoffe den Abwärtstrend der vergangenen Jahre verstärkt fort (–14%). Agrarische Industrierohstoffe (z. B. Wolle, Schnittholz und Kautschuk) und einige NE-Metalle (Blei, Zink und Nickel) verbilligten sich um ein Viertel. Die Rezession in den westlichen Ländern wirkte ebenso preisdämpfend wie die teils hohen Importe aus dem Osten und die anhaltenden Überkapazitäten und hohen Lagerbestände. Auch die österreichischen Importe von Industrierohstoffen verbilligten sich in einem ähnlichen Ausmaß. 1994 wird mit Preissteigerungen von 4% gerechnet.
