Abstract: Trotz einer gewissen Stabilisierung auf dem Arbeitsmarkt nahmen auch 1992 die Sozialausgaben kräftig zu. Aufwandssteigerungen in bestimmten Versicherungszweigen sowie neue Versicherungsleistungen bewirkten einen Anstieg der Sozialquote auf 28,2% des BIP, den höchsten Wert seit dem Zweiten Weltkrieg.
