Abstract: Da die Nähe zum Haupthandelspartner Deutschland derzeit keine Vorteile bringt, sind alle Großregionen Österreichs in ähnlicher Weise von der Rezession betroffen. Salzburg und Tirol können sich ihr dank ihrer breiteren Exportbasis etwas entziehen, in Kärnten ist der Zyklus insgesamt sehr flach. Erstaunlich ist die Behauptung des Burgenlandes trotz der erwarteten Einbußen im Bekleidungssektor.
