Abstract: Die Prognose eines Konjunkturaufschwungs wurde durch die Realität bestätigt. Die österreichische Wirtschaft wächst heuer um 2¾% und 1995 um 3%. Arbeitslosigkeit und Inflation gehen langsam zurück. Eine besondere Herausforderung an die Wirtschaftspolitik bedeutet das zunehmende Leistungsbilanzdefizit, das zum Teil mit der Verschlechterung der Reiseverkehrsbilanz zusammenhängt.
