Abstract: Entlang der Grenzen zu den ost-mitteleuropäischen Nachbarländern sind die Standortbedingungen in Bewegung geraten. Niedriglohnbetriebe wandern ab, qualifizierte Einpendler erweitern das Arbeitskräfteangebot. Eine Analyse des Arbeitsmarktes zeigt, daß kurzfristig positive Auswirkungen der Öffnung im Grenzland überwiegen.
