Abstract: Die Konjunktur der Industrieländer ist durch deutliche Unterschiede gekennzeichnet. Während sich die Wirtschaft der USA 1994 in einer gefestigten Hochkonjunktur befindet, verharrt Japan in einer Rezession. Europa steht am Beginn eines Aufschwungs. Die labile Konjunktursituation in Deutschland und der erhebliche Anstieg des langfristigen Zinsniveaus bedeuten allerdings Risken. Die Arbeitslosenquoten bleiben trotz der Belebung auf sehr hohem Niveau. Hingegen ist die Inflation nach wie vor niedrig.
