Abstract: Eine Analyse erfolgreicher Konsolidierungsphasen in Europa zeigt, daß den makroökonomischen Rahmenbedingungen erhebliche Bedeutung zukommt. Die Arbeit untersucht budgetpolitisch günstige Konstellationen auch in Hinblick auf ihre "Nachhaltigkeit".
