Abstract: Nach mehrmonatiger Pause wies die Industrieproduktion im Frühjahr wieder kräftig nach oben. Indes kündigen rückläufige Bestellungen aus dem In- und Ausland neuerlich eine Verlangsamung an; die Unternehmen beurteilen denn auch ihre Geschäftsaussichten nunmehr etwas vorsichtiger, wiewohl weiter überwiegend zuversichtlich. Die jüngste Zinssenkungsrunde und eine anhaltende Festigung des Dollarkurses könnten der westeuropäischen Konjunktur zur rechten Zeit neue Impulse geben.
