Abstract: Das Wachstum der Versicherungsbranche war 1995 wie 1994 von der dynamischen Entwicklung der Lebensversicherungen geprägt, während die Prämieneinnahmen in der Krankenversicherung neuerlich real sanken. In der Schaden- und Unfallversicherung glich ein Rückgang der Leistungsfälle den Anstieg der Kfz-Reparaturkosten aus, sodaß erstmals seit 1988 sinkende Versicherungsleistungen zu verzeichnen waren.
