Abstract: Die im WIFO-Investitionstest erfaßten Unternehmen erhöhten 1995 ihre Investitionen im Vorjahresvergleich nominell um 3,6%; 1996 ist eine Ausweitung um 15,5% geplant. Aufgrund der schwachen Verteuerung von Investitionsgütern ist auch real mit etwa dieser Wachstumsrate zu rechnen. Die Industrie plant einige Großprojekte und will um 28,6% mehr ausgeben als 1995. Die Bauwirtschaft nahm die Investitionen in Maschinen und Geräte 1995 nominell um 16,6% zurück, für 1996 wird eine Einschränkung um 7% erwartet. Die Investitionen der Elektrizitätswirtschaft stiegen 1995 leicht (nominell +1,7%) und sollen 1996 wesentlich höher ausfallen (+13,3%).
