Abstract: Die wirtschaftliche Einbindung der einzelnen Länder in einen paneuropäischen Wirtschaftsprozeß prägt Muster und Ausmaß der Ausländerbeschäftigung. Das Ausmaß der Arbeitsmigration ist dabei relativ unabhängig von Freizügigkeitsabkommen, der Grad der Integration von Migranten in die Gesellschaft über den Arbeitsmarkt hinaus hängt allerdings stark von institutionellen Regelungen ab.
