Abstract: Für die im WIFO-Investitionstest vom Herbst 2000 erfassten Bereiche ergibt sich eine Zunahme des Investitionsvolumens im Jahr 2001 um 1,1%. Die Unternehmen der Sachgütererzeugung bestätigen mit der Erwartung einer nominellen Umsatzsteigerung von 5,7% für 2001 die vom WIFO prognostizierte Dämpfung des Wirtschaftswachstums. Die aktuellen Pläne sehen eine Ausweitung der Investitionen um nur 1,4% vor. Dieser Pessimismus trägt der zu erwartenden Nachfrageabschwächung Rechnung, doch wurden möglicherweise auch Investitionsprojekte vorgezogen, um der Abschaffung des Investitionsfreibetrags zuvorzukommen.
