Abstract: Die Europäische Kommission fordert im Rahmen ihrer Halbzeitbewertung der Gemeinsamen Agrarpolitik teils einschneidende Reformen. Zentrale Punkte sind ein Umbau des Prämiensystems und die Kürzung der Direktzahlungen zugunsten der ländlichen Entwicklungspolitik. Der vorliegende Beitrag diskutiert diese Vorschläge aus österreichischer Sicht.
