Abstract: Das Wachstum der europäischen Bauwirtschaft kam 2001/02 im Gefolge der gesamtwirtschaftlichen Konjunkturabkühlung zum Stillstand (real 2001 ±0%, 2002 +0,5%). In einigen Ländern – insbesondere Deutschland, aber auch Dänemark und Osterreich – geriet der Sektor in eine massive Krise. Erst in den Jahren 2003 und 2004 wird mit einer leichten Belebung gerechnet, die vor allem von der Nachfrage nach Infrastrukturleistungen getragen sein wird.
