Abstract: Um dem ständig steigenden Bedarf nach rasch verfügbaren Wirtschaftsdaten gerecht zu werden, erstellt das WIFO seit dem Vorjahr im Auftrag des Bundesministeriums für Finanzen vierteljährlich Schnellschätzungen zum BIP. Der vorliegende Artikel stellt Umfang, Veröffentlichungstermine, Datenzugang und Berechnungsmethoden dieser auch als "Flash Estimate" bezeichneten Schätzung vor.
