Abstract: Das neue multisektorale WIFO-Modell der österreichischen Wirtschaft (PROMETEUS) integriert Ökonomie, Energiesystem und Ökologie (CO2-Emissionen) in konsistenter Weise. Es erlaubt daher die Evaluierung von Kosten und Nutzen der Erreichung umwelt- und energiepolitischer Ziele. Aufgrund der vollen Integration von Energiesystem und Ökonomie dürfte der negative BIP-Effekt etwa eines Erdölpreisschocks geringer ausfallen als in anderen Modellsimulationen.
