Abstract: Der Markt für Venture Capital ist in Österreich im europäischen Vergleich jung, klein und wenig dynamisch. Eine stichhaltige Analyse der Ursachen und darauf aufbauend ein Maßnahmenkatalog zur Forcierung der Frühphasenfinanzierung erfordern direkte Informationen von den Marktteilnehmern. Deshalb erfragte das WIFO gemeinsam mit der Austrian Private Equity and Venture Capital Organisation (AVCO) die Einschätzung der Situation durch österreichische Finanzintermediäre. Demnach besteht Handlungsbedarf in den Bereichen Informationsbereitstellung, Streuungsmöglichkeiten und Kapitalgarantien für Beteiligungen und Veranlagungsvorschriften für Finanzintermediäre.
