Abstract: In den kommenden Jahren wird der Wohnbau als einzige Bausparte in Europa expandieren; allerdings waren die Einbußen im Zuge der Finanzmarkt- und Wirtschaftskrise in diesem Sektor am größten. Makroökonomische Ungleichgewichte und die Verwerfungen auf den Immobilienmärkten in einigen Ländern dämpfen derzeit die Wachstumsaussichten. Ab 2014 ist – bei Stabilisierung des gesamtwirtschaftlichen Umfeldes – mit einer kräftigen Erholung zu rechnen.
