Abstract: Das reale Bruttoinlandsprodukt ging in Österreich im III. Quartal gegenüber der Vorperiode um 0,1% zurück. Diese Entwicklung macht im Einklang mit dem düsteren Bild der Vorlaufindikatoren für das IV. Quartal 2014 eine technische Rezession möglich. Noch liegen keine Anzeichen für eine anschließende Belebung vor, jedoch sollten die Schwäche des Euro und der anhaltende Rückgang der Rohstoffpreise der heimischen Wirtschaft wieder etwas Schwung verleihen.
