COVID-19-Krise stoppt dynamische Expansion im Tourismus

Abstract: 2019 verzeichnete der Tourismus in Österreich mit 46,2 Mio. Gästeankünften (+3,0%), 152,7 Mio. Nächtigungen (+1,9%) und nominellen Einnahmen von 30,0 Mrd. € (+6,7%, real +4,8%) neue Höchstwerte. Infolge der COVID-19-Krise dürfte die Nachfrage 2020 nach aktuellen Schätzungen im Durchschnitt um 35% bis 40% einbrechen, wobei der Städtetourismus deutlich stärker in Mitleidenschaft gezogen wird.
