Consumption Offsetting Slackening Austrian Exports. Economic Outlook for 2016 and 2017

Stefan Ederer

WIFO Bulletin, 2016, vol. 21, issue 5, 47-57

Abstract: The current sluggishness of the world economy causes a temporary slowdown in Austria's exports. However, domestic private and public consumption rises strongly in 2016 and 2017, lending support to business activity. Gross Domestic Product is projected to expand in both years by 1.6 percent.
